Mental Health is in the Hands of a United Society

     

          For many people, anxiety is not simply an occasional burst of nervousness. Many of us face anxiety as a chronic disorder that we must learn to coexist with and manage each day. As an anxiety sufferer, it is tough to view your life as one that is free from worry, fear, and possibly panic. As an individual on the outside looking in, it may be hard to fully understand the disorder or to empathize with the withholder.
   
          Anxiety is one of the most common mental health disorders. Countless people struggle to overcome the crippling side effects of anxiety. Despite this, communicating about this disorder stands beneficial to the sufferer and those that are friends, family, acquaintances, or even strangers to those who have anxiety. Simply reading material in a which a sufferer can relate to or find reassurance in can bring relief to the individual. On the flip side, someone who does not experience anxiety can gain insight to experiences that allow for heightened states of empathy by exposing themselves to this material.

          The motivation behind this blog is to bridge the gap between those who suffer and those who do not suffer with mental health in this way. Revealing material to the general public concerning fact, experience, opinion, and helpful healing techniques, will allow for a deepened sense of what it means to have anxiety. In turn, members of communities may feel more apt to having conversations regarding their own anxiety, or anxiety of their loved ones. Fostering an open mind and conversation about mental health disorders stands crucial to improving the mental health of society.
